Protestors Storm Allu Arjun’s Home Over Pushpa 2 Stampede
On Sunday, chaos broke out when a group from the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (JAC), accompanied by protestors, stormed Allu Arjun’s home in Jubilee Hills. Demonstrators pelted stones at the home of Tollywood star Allu Arjun in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, causing property damage and significant disruption.
They appeared as a form of protest against the tragic events that occurred on December 4, when an unfortunate stampede took place during the premiere of Pullpa 2 in Sandhya Theatre. A 35-year-old woman died, and her son, aged 9, was injured. The group held placards while chanting slogans. They accused the actor and blamed the stampede on his negligence.
Local police detained six protesters. Allu Arjun and his family have not filed a formal complaint. Social media videos captured the incident, which included damaged pots of flowers and visible disturbance at the actor’s home.
Allu Arjun responds to criticism.
Allu Arjun spoke out about the incident earlier today and called for calm in his fan base. He called for responsible conduct on social media. “I encourage all of my fans to always express themselves responsibly and refrain from abusive behavior—online and offline.” I will take strong measures against anyone who uses my name to spread negativity through a fake ID.
The statement is made amid increased scrutiny after the stampede. Recently, the victim’s spouse absolved Allu Arjun of any direct liability, stating, “I would be willing to withdraw this case.” Allu Arjun had nothing to do with the stampede that killed my wife.
The Stampede Incident of December 4
A tragic stampede took place at Sandhya Theatre, Hyderabad. Massive crowds had gathered to watch Allu Arjun attend the premier screening and Devi Sri Prasad. The overwhelming crowd caused the main gate of the Sandhya Theatre to collapse, which triggered a stampede. One person was killed, and several others were injured.
Legal battle and Bail
Allu Arjun, who was allegedly involved in the incident, was arrested on December 13. The BNS Act Sections 105 & 118(1) were used to charge him, along with criminal negligence. Telangana High Court granted him interim bail on the same day, citing lack of evidence. The actor had to post a bond of Rs. 50,000.
After the court’s reprieve came political accusations, which sparked further controversy. Revanth Reddy, Telangana’s Chief Minister, claimed that Allu Arjun had entered the theater without permission from the police, ignored warnings, and continued to make public appearances even after the incident. These claims were denied by the actor, who called them “misinformation and character assassination.”
I was not aware of the stampede till the morning after. Arjun defended himself by saying that the allegations made against him were baseless. The victim’s family was given his sincere condolences, and he called the incident an “unfortunate event.”
Community Response
This tragedy and the controversies that surrounded it have sparked a widespread discussion on crowd control and responsibility at high-profile public events. Allu Arjun’s supporters have rallied around him, defending both his intentions and character. The events are continuing to test celebrity accountability as well as public trust.
