Reduction in Excise Duty by Central Government
Today the central government gives a gift to the common people. The central body of India announced that there will be a reduction in the excise duty by 8 and 6 rupees on the petrol and diesel per liter respectively. Due to this cutting down in the prices of excise duty the fuel prices will also be decreased. Now petrol is decreased by 9.5rs per liter and diesel is decreased by 7rs per liter. From tomorrow morning new prices will be implemented in India.
There is one more announcement given by the center that there will be a subsidy provided to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna. There is a subsidy of 200rs that will be given to the beneficiaries up to the twelve-cylinder only. This subsidy is probably provided to the nine crore beneficiaries under this Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna. Nirmala Sitharaman tweeted “Also this year we will give a subsidy of ₹200 per gas cylinder (up to 12 cylinders) to over 9 crore beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna. This will help our mothers and sisters. This will have a revenue implication of around ₹6100 crores a year. #Ujjwala”
